The police in Lagos have arrested a pastor for allegedly duping his fellow pastor under false pretence.
The culprit, Pastor Sam Sunday, of the Dominical House of Grace, located at Car Wash Bus Stop, Mobile Police Barracks, Idimu, was alleged to have collected N65,000 from Pastor Philip, under the pretence of providing chairs for him.
P.M.News gathered that the accused ran away after collecting the money and did not provide the chairs as demanded by the complainant.
The complainant reported the matter to the police at the Idimu Station and the accused was arrested and charged before the Ejigbo Magistrate's Court for fraud.
The offence is punishable under Section 419 of the Criminal Code, Cap. C.17, Vol 2, Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2003. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety, by Magistrate M.I. Dan Oni. He was remanded in Kirikiri because he could not fulfill the bail conditions.
