The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has warned members of the church against collecting keyholder gifts in filling stations.
Speaking through pastors at different parishes of the church, Adeboye, popularly called Daddy G.O., said the keyholders contain a tracking device which unscrupulous people use to monitor the movement of their victims before attacking them.
The keyholders, P.M.News learnt, was developed by Ghanaians, and are given out to unsuspecting customers at petrol stations as free gifts. Most of the customers, not attaching any meaning to it, receive them with thanks.
Many people have been robbed of their possessions and houses burgled because of the tracking device, P.M.News gathered. Collaborating the story, Mr Fatai Asiyanbola, said he received a text message from a friend in Bauchi state, alerting him on the issue. The text stated: 'Syndicate of Ghana and Nigerians are giving free keyrings at petrol stations. Don't accept it, as the rings have a tracking device which allows them to follow you.'
