Four persons were killed in a motor accident on IIorin -Egbe road in Kwara State.
The crash, which occurred around 11.30am, according to eyewitnesses, was as a result of a head-on collision between two 18-seater Mazda commercial buses coming from Egbe and Ilorin, Kogi and Kwara States respectively.
The two drivers died immediately while two others died on their way to the hospital.
The bus coming from Ilorin allegedly tried to overtake a trailer and ran into the oncoming bus from Egbe.
The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Omu-Aran command said the driver apparently trying to avoid a pothole, swerved to the lane of the one coming from Egbe, leading to the collision.
The source, however, said two bodies were recovered from the scene of the wreakage.
Some of the critically wounded, had been rushed to the hospital.The bodies were deposited at Ofta mortuary.
The FRSC enjoined motorists to be patient specially during the ember months.
Penultimate weekend, about four people also lost their lives to an accident along the same Ilorin-Egbe Road.
