A 26-year-old technician, Dapo Fadipe, is currently in police custody for allegedly having sex with a 10-year-old boy and his twin sister.
A 26-year-old technician, Dapo Fadipe, is currently in police custody for allegedly having sex with a 10-year-old boy and his twin sister.
The suspect, a resident of 28, Alhaja Tanimowo Street, Agbado, Lagos, was alleged to have been sleeping with the twins since 2006. He allegedly warned the children not to leak the secret to anybody or risk mysterious death. His male victim, Kehinde, claimed that the suspect repeated the act several times after the first encounter, while the 26-year-old technician, in his confession, insisted that he did it only once with him.
Fadipe attributed the incident to a 'spiritual war' waged against him by his polygamous family. According to him, 'Kehinde always comes to our house to play football with some children in our compound. At times, we will be together in the sitting-room watching TV. That day, I was inside the sitting room alone with Kehinde before the devil pushed me.'
'I did not put my manhood inside his anus. I told him to lie down and put my manhood between his thighs,' says the technician. His victim, Kehinde, said apart from Fadipe's house, he also did it with him inside a bush very close to his school in the presence of his twin sister. He disagreed with his twin sister's claim that the suspect did it with her too.
Trouble started for the suspect when the grandmother of the children observed a strange growth in Kehinde's anus while bathing him. According to the grandma, she initially thought the strange growth was a symptom of pile, after a lot of persuasion, the boy opened up to her.
Based on this information, the woman approached the Police Public Relations Office, which directed detectives from the Human Rights Desk to look into the case.
