A Lagos socialite and businessman, Mr. Ladi Williams, a.k.a. gentleman, is dead.
He was the Chief Executive of Cowlad Nigeria Limited. He died, last Friday, of cardiac arrest after returning from Abuja. He was said to have personally called his doctor while still airborne to complain of being uncomfortable, and the doctor promptly drove to the MM2 Airport, Ikeja, to await his arrival.
On arrival, Ladi Williams was immediately rushed to the Intensive Care Unit of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, (LASUTH), Ikeja, where he reportedly died. His body has been deposited at the private mortuary of the hospital.
Aged 54, Ladi Williams, who is survived by his wife, Yinka (nee Laolu), and five children, was the first son of prominent Lagos businesswoman, the late Chief (Mrs.) Bose Onileere.
The late businessman was an intimate friend of Waterparks' boss, Otunba Feyi Winfunke. He was the toast of top juju and fuji musicians like King Sunny Ade, Ebenezer Obey, Sir Shina Peters, Sikiru Ayinde Barrister and King Wasiu Ayinde, to mention a few.
Confirming Williams' death, coordinators of the committee of friends, Biodun Owoyele (Eko Round City) and Dotun Olaribigbe (Lobito), revealed to P.M.News that his burial has been tentatively fixed for Thursday, 4 December, while the wake will hold on Wednesday, 3 December.
