Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala of Oyo state, this morning, reacted to the news captioned, 'Akala's Kids Disrupt P-Square's B'Day Bash', published in yesterday's edition of P.M. News, describing it as untrue.
Speaking through his Special Adviser on Special Duties, Diran Odeyemi, Akala said that the lady in question was a fiancee to his son and well known to the family.
According to the governor, aside from not having any daughter bearing Oluwatoyin, the name of his son is Olamiju and not Olamipo, adding that the lady was with Olamiju in Ogbomoso, during his sister's wedding.
Also speaking through Odeyemi, Olamiju debunked the report that there was a fracas at the party, stressing that he was just being blackmailed because he is the governor's son, adding that he felt bad about the publication.
According to him, he is old enough to have a fiancee or girlfriend, and besides, he should be allowed to enjoy his privacy. He noted that he was aware that his photograph was taken but never knew that it would be used for another purpose, cautioning newsmen to crosscheck their stories before going to press.
