A housewife, Beatrice Olufunmilayo, has collapsed on the pedestrian bridge, at Onipanu, along Ikorodu Road.
P.M.News gathered that Mrs. Olufunmilayo, 48, popularly known as Iya Titi, a resident of 8, Oyegbola Street, Onipanu, was on her way from the clinic where she had gone to have her grandchild circumcised, when the incident happened.
Mrs. Olufunmilayo and her grandchild were quickly assisted by pedestrians and the security guard attached to the bridge. While attending to the victim, one of the pedestrians, Mrs. Oyafemi, a nurse at the orthopaedic centre, Yaba, gave the woman first aid treatment and she regained consciousness.
Responding to questions from the nurse, the victim said: 'I am a hypertensive patient. I was coming from where I had circumcision for my grandchild. As I was about climbing the bridge, I felt dizzy and suddenly, I fell down on the bridge.' She was later taken to the Somolu Health Centre, at Oguntolu Street, where she was treated.
