The desire to satisfy his sexual urge, has landed a teenager in detention.
He was arrested for stabbing his girlfriend who allegedly denied him of sex. The teenager, Michael Ogundepo, 18, was alleged to have stabbed his 14-year-old girlfriend (names withheld) in the left ear, at 3, Moshalasi Street, Mushin, Lagos, during a party.
P.M.News gathered that the victim went to meet the suspect at a party where the accused reportedly demanded for sex but she refused. This was said to have infuriated the suspect who assaulted her and later stabbed her with a broken bottle.
The girl was rushed to a nearby hospital before her father reported the matter to the police. The accused was arrested and charged with assault, at the Isolo Magistrate's Court.
The offence, according to the police, is punishable under Sections 338 and 249 of the Criminal Code, Cap.31 and 38, Vol. 2 and 12, Laws of Lagos State Nigeria, 2004. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties.
When the parents of the accused could not meet up with the bail conditions, the court, presided over by Mrs. T. Akanni, ordered that he should be remanded at the Olosan police station, pending when his bail would be perfected.
