Former junior-international and KSV Roeselare midfielder, Azubuike Oliseh has been ruled out of action in this weekend's Belgian Jupiler League clash against Racing Genk, due to the hip injury sustained in last Tuesday's Belgium Cup 4-1 win against Turnhout.
Former junior-international and KSV Roeselare midfielder, Azubuike Oliseh has been ruled out of action in this weekend's Belgian Jupiler League clash against Racing Genk, due to the hip injury sustained in last Tuesday's Belgium Cup 4-1 win against Turnhout.
The former FC Utrecht player who was outstanding for the club in last weekend's 2-1 loss to AFC Tubize was substituted mid way in the second half after he had collided with a Turnhout's player in the away encounter. Although he almost aggravated the hip injury in the clash, but the club's manager, Dirk Geeraerd salvaged the situation by replacing the Nigerian-international who made way for another Roeselare player.
In spite of the 4-1 victory recorded against Turnhout during the week, the club's expectation in this weekend's encounter against Genk remains shabby since most of the key players of the club are down with various degrees of injuries ahead of the Week 12 Belgian Jupiler League encounter which comes up today at the Racing Genk Stadium.
Nasser Daineche is down with foot injury, Thomas Troch is doubtful with a back injury, also, Jeroen Vanthournout was injured in training prior to this weekend's Jupiler League match. Apart from the names of these three abovementioned players, the club's medical team is currently working on the rehabilitation of Works Mamady Kaba and David Van Hoyweghen, who are still undergoing treatment from injuries sustained couple of weeks ago. Meanwhile, Nigeria's Azubuike Oliseh joined the long list of club's players' that are currently down with injuries, which is the reason they are doubtful for the club's trip to Genk this afternoon in Belgium.
