‘Why We Held Reception For Ex-Minister’—League Of Imams


The League of Imams and Alfas in Ogun state and the Egba muslim community, has explained the reason behind the grand reception and special prayers it held for the former Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Alhaji Sarafadeen Tunji Ishola.

The League of Imams and Alfas in Ogun state and the Egba muslim community, has explained the reason behind the grand reception and special prayers it held for the former Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Alhaji Sarafadeen Tunji Ishola.

Speaking on behalf of the muslims in Ogun state, the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Alhaji Liadi Osunsolu, stated that the muslim community considered the action due to the ex-minister’s outstanding performance while in office.

Also speaking on the special prayers for the ex-minister, the Baba Adini of Egbaland, Alhaji Abdulateef Adegbite, described Alhaji Ishola as a worthy ambassador of the state and the islamic religion. While calling on Ogun state indigenes to emulate the ex-minister, Alhaji Adegbite described him as an ardent muslim.

“You have laid down a good example worthy of emulation and I urge those coming behind you to emulate you because you have done well”.

Present at the occasion were Chief Alani Bankole, father of the Speaker of the House of Representatives; Alhaji Jubril Martins Kuye; Alhaja Kudirat Adebisi Edipsere and Chief Dapo Abatan.
