A sex-starved security guard attached to the Lagos Island General Hospital, has been arrested by the police for allegedly stabbing a lady 19 times for denying him sex.
A sex-starved security guard attached to the Lagos Island General Hospital, has been arrested by the police for allegedly stabbing a lady 19 times for denying him sex.
The suspect, Musibau Lasisi, was alleged to have tried to forcefully have sex with his victim, Nkiruka, within the hospital premises, at midnight, and when she proved difficult, he went beserk and stabbed her in different parts of her body with a knife.
His attempt to run away was foiled by other hospital staff who heard the victim's cries and came to her rescue. P.M.News investigations revealed that the victim brought her younger sister, Eziuche, to the hospital for treatment. After doctors examined her (Eziuche), they placed her on admission.
Nkiruka was told that she cannot sleep in the hospital but go home and report the following day. Realising that it was too late to go home Nkiruka reportedly met the security guard to allow her stay in the security post till the following day. The accused, it was learnt, obliged her but later woke her up at about 2 a.m. to demand for sex.
Police investigators revealed that when the victim resisted him, he became angry and went for his knife with which he stabbed Nkiruka several times. She was stabbed 19 times, hospital sources later confirmmed. Invstigations revealed further that the cry of the victim led nurses and other hospital staff to the scene and she was saved.
The suspect was also arrested and handed over to the police at Lion Building. In his confessional satement to the police, the suspect begged for forgiveness and blamed the devil for using him. 'A voice told me to go and meet her for sex. When she refused, I didn't know what came over me. I went for a knife and stabbed her. I didn't know what I was doing. I am begging the police to forgive me. I will pay all the expenses for the girl's treatment,' Lasisi begged, when he spoke with P.M.News, in his cell. A police source disclosed that he would soon be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, for further interrogation.
