Detained leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND), Mr. Henry Orkah, has been diagnosed as having kidney problems.
Revealing this to P.M.News, this morning, Orkah's counsel, Mr. Femi Falana, said doctors appointed by the Federal Government to treat Orkah, this morning, confirmed that the MEND leader was actually suffering from kidney problems. Orkah's trial for waging war against the state is currently going on at the Federal High Court, Jos.
Falana said he told the judge that there are no facilities to treat the MEND leader in Nigeria and that he should be flown abroad for proper medical care, but the judge refused, insisting he should be treated here in Nigeria.
