Scores of members of Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) and tourists from Ghana, Benin Republic, Ivory Coast and other neighbouring countries, this morning, stormed Suntan Beach, Badagry, for the annual Olokun Festival, organised by the Otunba Gani Adams-led OPC.
The festival was flagged off yesterday, at the Marwa Gardens, Badagry, where the Olosa goddess was appeased. A homage was later paid to the Badagry monarch, His Royal Highness, Obatunde Akran, who thanked Gani Adams for his selfless efforts in promoting African culture. In his response, Adams promised to take the festival to a higher level.
