Yinka Craig Begins Journey Home


The remains of veteran sports broadcaster, Olayinka Oluwakorede Craig, will be laid to rest on Friday, 24 October, 2008, at the Vaults and Gardens, Ikoyi, Lagos.

The remains of veteran sports broadcaster, Olayinka Oluwakorede Craig, will be laid to rest on Friday, 24 October, 2008, at the Vaults and Gardens, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Yinka Craig, who died on 23 September, at Mayo Clinic, Minnesota, USA, of cancer of the lymph, was 61 years old and survived by four children.

Service of songs will hold at NTA, Victoria Island, Lagos, today, while the christian wake will be held at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., tomorrow.

There will be a lying in state for the renowned sports journalist at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan, Lagos, between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., on Friday. This will be followed by an interdenominational service. Yinka Craig will be missed by sports journalists and stakeholders all over Nigeria. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
