A businessman, Mr. Lotanna Mgbakogu, who lives at Shobowale Street, Ilasamaja, has been attacked by armed robbers, while on his way home.
The victim, who narrated his ordeal in the hands of the robbers to P.M.News, said he closed his drug store and was walking home when, all of a sudden, he was stopped by about eight youngsters.
'They pounced on me, stabbed me several times on the head and hands and took my handset, wristwatch, a gold neck chain and theN5,000 they found on me,' he said.
Nemesis, however, caught up with one of the suspects identified as Mr. Moses, who lives at 24, Olorunishola Street, Idi-Araba. He was recognised by the victim, who reported him to the police at Olosan station, Mushin. He was immediately arrested and is presently being detained at the station.
Meanwhile, residents of Shobowale Street have appealed to the Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola, to shut a brothel located in the area.
This is coming on the heels of frequent assault on residents and robbery incidents in the area by patrons of the brothel who are mostly young boys from Idi-Araba.
