Security has been beefed up in Port Harcourt as the wife of the president, Hajia Turai Yar'Adua, is expected to pay her first official visit to the Rivers state capital, today, to launch the Empowerment Support Initiative, ESI; the pet project of Mrs. Judith Amaechi, wife of the Rivers state governor.

The formal launch of the Empowerment Support Initiative (ESI), scheduled to hold at Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt, will include the foundation laying ceremony of the prototype model nursery school at the ESI Secretariat.
The president's wife is also expected to commission a healthcare centre with a mammogram machine and an inaugural ball at the Government House, Port Harcourt. A statement by Mr. Nimi Walson Jack, the Chairman, Publicity and Media Committee, said the launch takes place at the Liberty Stadium, Elakahia, Port Harcourt.
