Father of Quadruplets Goes Into Hiding

The father of quadruplets who were born at Emure General Hospital in Emure Local Government Area of Ekiti on Monday Mr Kunle Adesanya, has fled from home.

The father of quadruplets who were born at Emure General Hospital in Emure Local Government Area of Ekiti on Monday Mr Kunle Adesanya, has fled from home.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the mother and the children are at the State Specialist Hospital, Ado-Ekiti.

They were reportedly relocated to the hospital after birth.

Mrs Funke Adesanya, 24, delivered a set of four baby girls as the first children of the family at the Emure General Hospital.

To ensure adequate care, one Mrs Cecilia Ogundare, funded the transfer of the babies and their mother to the Specialist Hospital.

NAN learnt that Adesanya, a school certificate holder, on hearing that his wife had delivered the quadruplets, went into hiding.

The children have since been kept in the incubator at the intensive care unit of the hospital while scores of people thronged the place to see the babies.

Speaking on the condition of the babies and their mother, the Chief Medical Director (CMD), Dr Patrick Adegun, described the babies as a "wonderful set" of quadruplets.

Adegun said that the children and their mother were in good condition.

The wife of the state governor, Mrs Olukemi Oni, during her visit, appealed to the father of the quadruplets to come out of hiding to take care of the babies.

Oni had, during the visit, donated undisclosed amount of money for the upkeep of the children and described them as God's gifts.

"I want to appeal to the father of the quadruplets to please come out from hiding and not to abandon these babies here.

"I want him to appreciate that some people are outside there looking for children," she said.

The mother of the babies, who is a school certificate holder, called on the government to provide jobs for her and the fleeing father to enable them take care of the babies. (NAN)

This is a great piece of history, which is dear to our hearts as people and very much appreciated.

Many thanks to the people who worked hard in the past and those who are still making efforts to keep the institution.

The labour is obviouly worth it. We are proud of you all.

A lot still to be done, with the motivation of the champions of this course, others will follow as well to maintain the institution

May God continue to keep the edifice for development of future generations to the glory of God and the benefits of our fatherland.
