A pedestrian and a commercial motorcyclist (Okada rider) lost their lives along the Lagos-Badagry expressway when a trailer loaded with cattle hit them.
A pedestrian and a commercial motorcyclist (Okada rider) lost their lives along the Lagos-Badagry expressway when a trailer loaded with cattle hit them.
The trailer, which was heading to Badagry from Iyana-Iba, was alleged to have suffered a break failure. P.M.News learnt that the commercial motorcyclist was the first victim while a pedestrian was also crushed. The bodies of the victims were badly mutilated when P.M.News got to the scene.
The driver of the trailer was arrested by policemen from Iba Station, while his assistant, identified as Salisu, escaped. An attempt by angry passersby to burn the trailer was also frustrated by the police. P.M.News also learnt that four of the cows in the vehicle died during the accident. The body of the victims were later taken by the police to the mortuary at the Badagry General Hospital, it was gathered.
