Results of the May/June 2008 West African School Certificate Examination (WASCE) is scheduled to be released tomorrow, P.M.News can authoritatively reveal.
Head of the National Office of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) in Nigeria, Dr. Iyi Uwadiae, is expected to announce the release of the results, tomorrow, at the Yaba head office of the council.
Already, there is high expectation among students who took the examinations and their parents who view the early release of the results as a good sign.
A mother, Mrs. Adebisi Saliu, who spoke with P.M.News, at Ogba, commended WAEC for the early release of the results, saying it would reduce the difficulties for students seeking admission into the universities.
'If it is true, I commend WAEC. It shows they are very alive to their responsibility. The early release of the results would reduce the difficulties for students seeking admission into the university,' she stated.
A student of Angus Memorial Senior Secondary School, Morocco, Somolu, who gave her name as Feyisola, expressed delight that WAEC was releasing the results early. 'It is very good. That means I will be able to process my admission into the university very quickly,' she said.
