Three major offices in the Ogun State House of Assembly have been burgled, and some vital documents carted away.

P.M.News gathered, this morning, that the administrative office, deputy clerk's office and the former office of the Speaker, were burgled last night. It was discovered that some vital documents relating to the activities of the state government were removed.

The Speaker and other members of the House were said to have been alerted about the incident by the Chief Security Officer (CSO) in the state government house, Oke-Igbehin, simply called ‘striker', an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

Sources in the House of Assembly complex, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, told P.M.News that the perpetrators of the act may have come for only the documents as they did not burgle the Assembly's account department which was next to the administrative department.

The incident was immediately reported at the state Police Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, by the lawmakers, led by the Speaker. One of the lawmakers, who spoke with P.M.News under anonymity, said the action has created another fear about their safety, saying, 'we don't know what they are looking for and their next action.'
