The police, in Lagos, have arrested a lady, Miss Ajibade Temitope, for allegedly stealing her lover's car. Temitope, who gave her address as 1, Barracks Road, Ogudu Ori-Oke, Ojota, allegedly borrowed her lover's car and refused to return it to the owner.
P.M.News learnt that she usually borrows the vehicle and returns it to the owner after two or three days, until recently when she discovered that her lover boy, whose identity was not disclosed, was dating her close friend.
To teach the cheating lover a lesson, Temitope asked him to borrow her his car as usual and the lover boy did, not knowing that the accused had a criminal motive. After waiting for more than two weeks without seeing the car and the culprit, the loverboy called her on phone.
Temitope was alleged to have told her lover to forget about the car since he had the guts to date her friend, adding that the vehicle would serve as payment for the sex he had been having with her. When his pleas did not move the accused, he reported the matter to the police.
The police, P.M.News gathered, also called the woman's phone, but Temitope allegedly told them not to bother because she was not ready to return the car. She was later arrested by the police after a hot chase. A source at the police station confirmed to P.M.News that the accused is now trying to negotiate a peaceful settlement with her lover boy.
