For Mr. Samuel Olorunsola, a dispatch rider with The Nation newspaper, who resides at 15, Wole Bamiduro Street, Ahmaddiya, Abule Egba, last Saturday was a black weekend, as he lost two of his daughters to armed robbers who struck right in his brother's home.

P.M.News gathered that the two children, Miss Blessing Olorunsola, 14, and her younger sister, Miss Tosin Olorunsola, 10, were shot dead by armed robbers while the girls were on holiday at their uncle's house at 32, Akinwowo Street, Egbeda, Lagos.
Investigations revealed that the two sisters were watching television at their uncle's residence around 9 p.m. when the robbers stormed their residence.

Narrating the incident to P.M.News, the distraught father of the children, Mr. Samuel Olorunsola, disclosed that his brother, Ayo Joseph (uncle to the girls), told him that he was about to put on his generator when three armed men accosted him in his compound and dragged him into his house.
'My brother (Ayo Joseph) said he came back from work around 8.30 p.m. and put on the generator because there was no light.
'He said while he was eating, the generator went off and he wondered what could have happened since fuel was in the generator.
'He said that as soon as he came out to inspect the generator, about three men emerged and pointed their guns at him and ordered him to put on the generator. This he did and the robbers led him into the house with guns pointed at him.
'As soon as they got in, they took him and his wife into the room and left some of their members with the children in the sitting room.
'He told me that as the robbers were ransacking the rooms, they heard gunshots and as they rushed out, they met the two girls dead,' Mr. Olorunsola narrated.
It was learnt that the robbers fled immediately after the killing. The late Blessing was a student of Most High College, Beckley Estate, Abule Egba, while Tosin was a pupil of Faith Land Nursery/Primary School, Ijaiye-Ojokoro, Lagos.
The school's bursar, Mrs. Grace Role, described Tosin as a quiet, well behaved girl, who was very brilliant. 'I will miss her,' she added. Tosin, it was gathered, was a member of the school's press corp and loved reading news.
Efforts to speak with the proprietor of Most High College, Mr. Babatunde Salami, on the killing of Blessing, proved abortive as he refused to see our reporter, ostensibly due to the GCE examinations taking place there.
Meanwhile, the father of the slain children has appealed to the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Marvel Akpoyibo, to fish out the killers of his daughters.
