Disabled gospel artiste, Yinka Ayefele, has denied that he was arrested in the United States for drug trafficking.
He described the reports as blatant lies cooked up to tarnish his image. In a telephone chat with P.M.News from his base in America, Ayefele, who flew out of the country several weeks ago, stated that he was neither involved in drug trafficking nor detained by the police for any shady deal, whatsoever. He described the rumours as the 'brainchild of the enemies of progress.'
'God has blessed me beyond anything that has to do with hard drugs and I see no reasons for me to be involved in drug trafficking, particularly as a role model.
'Nobody arrested me. Rather, I am enjoying myself. I have been performing at shows. I intend to cover more states here in the US before returning to Nigeria,' he said.
Ayefele, who rained curses on his detractors during the conversation, also refuted rumours that he had been seeking spiritual deliverance from his age-long spinal cord injury.
'I did not visit Pastor G.O. Obadare to heal my spinal cord injury before leaving Nigeria. The doctors have assured me that it is only a matter of time for the injury to be healed. 'All the rumours being peddled about me are unfounded,' he added.
