The council boss was alleged to have assaulted a property consultant in Ijebu-Ode, Prince Yomi Oduneye, 65. P.M.News gathered that Oseni allegedly assaulted Prince Oduneye at the premises of Ijebu-Ode Local Government Secretariat, Itoro, Ijebu-Ode, with others now at large.
The police identified the other suspects as Alade Abudu, Sesan Lawal, Goke Balogun, Anana Isiaka, Owolabi, Sakiru Oseni and Laja Okanla. In his statement to the police, the complainant alleged that Oseni ordered him to be taken from his Abeokuta Road office, Ijebu-Ode, where he was mercilessly beaten by Oseni and others.
Investigations revealed that the Ijebu-Ode council boss was arrested by policemen from the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters, Eleweran. He was transferred to the Zone 2 Police Command, Lagos, yesterday. He could not be reached for his comment as he was kept behind bars when our reporter visited the Zone 2 Police Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, this morning.
