‘Workers Welfare My Priority'


A presidential aspirant of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Lagos chapter, Comrade Abdul Fatai Omogbolahan, has reiterated his commitment to workers' welfare, if elected.

A presidential aspirant of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Lagos chapter, Comrade Abdul Fatai Omogbolahan, has reiterated his commitment to workers' welfare, if elected.

Comrade Omogbolahan stated this at the commencement of his campaign for the presidency of the Lagos chapter of NULGE at the Surulere Local Government secretariat.

The former vice president of Kosofe Local Government and current chairman of Ikosi/Isheri branch of NULGE said: 'In my administration, members' welfare will be our ultimate priority.

'Let us allow the man who understands the system better to fix the problems facing the union.'

Comrade Omogbolahan praised the current executives of the union led by Comrade (Mrs.) Regina Iyabo Obasa, for improving workers welfare and promised to continue from where she stopped.

Alhaji Otunyi A. Adeniyi, chairman of the Patriot, the group that nominated Com. Omogbolahan, said: 'We have discovered a good leadership in Omogbolahan. He is somebody who can represent us in all ramifications. He is humble, soft spoken and have the knowledge of the workings of NULGE.'
