The Yobe State government has approved N14,800 as new minimum wage for teachers in the state.

Governor Mamman Ali said on Monday when the Minister of State for Education, Hajiya Aishatu Dukku, paid him a courtesy call in Damaturu, that the state had peculiar educational problems which required a special approach.

This, he added, also informed the introduction of boarding primary schools in the state.
