A 30-year-old man, Mr. Okon Akaninyene, has been arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate's Court, for allegedly stealing a siren and two speakers belonging to the Lagos State Task Force.
A 30-year-old man, Mr. Okon Akaninyene, has been arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate's Court, for allegedly stealing a siren and two speakers belonging to the Lagos State Task Force.
The allegedly stolen items, property of the Lagos State Government, were moved on 20 July, from the task force office at Alausa, Ikeja.
The offence is contrary to, and punishable under Section 390(6) of the Criminal Code, Cap.C.17, Vol. II, Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2003.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge and was granted bail by the presiding senior magistrate, M.T. Abolarinwa, in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum. The case has been adjourned till 24 September.
