The Action Congress (AC) in Osun State has been advised to stop dissipating its energy on chasing the shadows and distributing inciting leaflets in its bid to get to power at all costs.
A statement issued on Sunday by the Special Adviser on Media to Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola stressed that all recent attempts by the opposition AC to distract the government through frivolous noise in the media and inciting leaflets had failed.
According to the statement which noted that despite the noise made by the AC on the admission of Adrian Forty as a witness by Ondo State election tribunal, 'that tribunal threw out his evidence in the final judgement.'
It added that 'instead of learning from this fate that befell the so called Forensic Expert in Ondo state, the AC in Osun State is still crying over the failure of their application seeking to smuggle him in as a witness.'
The statement stressed further 'that distribution of inciting leaflets and petition writing would not get the AC to smell the governorship of the state and would not for a second distract the government from executing its programmes.'
'We also advise the AC and its collaborators to know that the Oyinlola government is not in anyway shaken by their shenanigans borne out of the desperation of Lagos politicians to turn Osun State to a field to be mined for their selfish interest.
'We also advise them to start preparing for the 2011 elections and stop crying like babies over their rejection in the last polls. As for us, we remain determined and ready to combat any attempt to undermine law and order in this state,' the statement said.
