‘Leave Lagos Out Of Your Vodoo Election' - Lagos AC Tells Iwu

The Lagos State chapter of the Action Congress has lambasted the discredited Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Maurice Iwu.

The Lagos State chapter of the Action Congress has lambasted the discredited Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Maurice Iwu.

The party said Iwu is trying to employ his failed attempt to manipulate the results of elections in Lagos and Kano as yet another of the many infantile alibis he has been employing to bail himself from the despicable manner he ridiculed the country in April, 2007, through wholesome visitation of fraud in the electoral system. The party urges Iwu to stop gallivanting all over the world with taxpayers' money to wash himself of the self-inflicted tar his shameful acts imposed on him.

In a release in Lagos, signed by the party's Lagos State Publicity Secretary, Joe Igbokwe, Lagos AC said it was reacting to the contention of Iwu in yet another frustrating effort at self-cleansing in Ghana where the soiled INEC boss was reported to have hinged his contention that the last macabre job of April did not deserve the worldwide condemnation it is meriting because opposition parties won in Lagos and Kano despite the fact that the Obasanjo government and the PDP wanted Lagos by all means.

The party said such cheap reasoning plays shy of the fact that Lagos has proved the albatross of many evil rulers, Obasanjo inclusive, and that Iwu and his evil hatchet men were only frustrated by the sophistication of voters in Lagos and Kano and not by any intent to allow Nigerians to have a free and fair election.

'We find it laughable that Iwu and his discredited team of election riggers are scavenging for non-existent reasons to explain the fraud they committed in April 2007. It is indeed laughable that Iwu should employ Lagos, which he desperately tried to influence in a bizarre manner that saw him and his masters posting two INEC commissioners within 48 hours to Lagos so as to see ways of manipulating the elections in Lagos. What Iwu never thought of in his present efforts to free himself from the just reward of his damned act was that Lagos is never a backwater state that would easily succumb to the evil machinations of serial election riggers by accepting concocted election results.

'He never knew that Lagos is not a banana state that could be easily pocketed by unscrupulous mandarins and their masters and that is why he failed in Lagos and that is the reason why Lagos has proved the grave of consistent election fraudsters and why no reactionary party has ever ruled Lagos.

'Iwu is just employing a glaring instance of one huge failure of the retrogressive forces he represents to buy himself from the just punishment from his deliberate indiscretions that handed the country what is now the worst electoral fraud in human history. By that he wants to benefit from his perfidy and this is a cheeky way men of fraud try to benefit from whatever that chances by in their deprecatory lives.

'He should have admitted that the feat in Lagos and Kano dates back to their progressive pasts and if he never resisted the urge to mortgage his conscience by selling off a general election to Obasanjo and the PDP and sentencing the country to the kind of bad fate it is now going through, he cannot resist the urge to just drop any figure as election results in Lagos and Kano, as he did in all other states. The only thing that held him and his masters back was the real fear that any attempt to sell that fraud to a sophisticated populace would have spelt urgent doom to the castle of fraud they jointly built in April, from which they are now benefiting.

According to ther party, 'we want to let Iwu know that he tried to enforce the deadly wishes of his masters to take over Lagos but he, like other past hirelings, was frustrated by forces he cannot alter or change. He was frustrated by the fact that it is only in Lagos, and to some lesser extents Kano and one or two other states that people follow the electoral process to the end and have the clout to stop the kind of dirty maneuvers Iwu employed to rig the last April election for the PDP.

'He should stop employing Lagos where he failed to shine to showcase his ability to conduct a free and fair election because he has no moral imbuement, no capacity and no freedom to conduct any election that has a smattering of credibility.

'He showed this beyond reasonable doubt by the grand manner he messed up the April 2007 shambolic elections. Lagos and the few states retrieved from Iwu and his PDP paymasters were achieved despite Iwu, Obasanjo, the PDP and the retrogressive forces that have sworn to ensure the country is enslaved to their greed.'
