A widow and mother of three, Mrs. Chinasa Ani, has accused her late husband's friend, Mr. Aga Chikezie, a councilor, of forging documents with which he allegedly took over her late husband's job.

Mrs. Ani who lost her husband about two years ago told Daily Sun that Chikezie who was her husband's close associate when he was alive upon his death, allegedly faked documents which he has been using to claim the salary of the dead man at Amankanu Local Government Education Authority.
Ani, while narrating the incident to Daily Sun in Enugu, said her family members have been suffering since the death of her husband, Mr. Solomon Ani, and unknown to her, Chikezie was still drawing the deceased salary.
According to the widow, the accused councilor had put up a fight against those he perceived to have been behind the killing of his friend.
"But we didn't know that after that, he went behind to forge his identity card with which he has been collecting his salary; and he has never looked the way of the children left behind by his late friend," she lamented.
She said she was doing the job of a nanny to feed her children and that she employed the services of a family member to report the case to the police through a petition to the Enugu State Commissioner of Police dated April 3, 2008.
The petition which was signed by one Arumeze Innocent among other things stated that; "until his death, the late Solomon was a staff of Amankanu Local Government Education Authority.
"As soon as he died about two years ago, one Mr. Aga Chikezie fraudulently started answering the name of the deceased and started collecting salaries as if the said Ani Solomon was still alive.
"Mr. Aga Chikezie operated an account in First Bank, Emene Branch with account no. 1533010075174. The salary of late Ani Solomon is always being paid into this account for Mr. Aga Chikezie."
After waiting fruitlessly for the police in the state to bring the suspect to book, the family members through Arumeze Innocent wrote again to the Commissioner of Police complaining of poor handling of the case.
Still in doubt of her fate in the hands of the police, the widow said she decided to cry out, insisting that she wants justice to take its course.
She presented documents, including a forged identity card with passport used by the accused in claiming the salaries.
When Daily Sun contacted Aga Chikezie, he denied the allegations but identified the photographs on the documents as his.
He claimed that somebody must have used his pictures without his knowledge.
He, however, confirmed that the police at the state command had invited him over the matter.
