Security agents raid Asari-Dokubo's home

Security operatives on Thursday raided the Abuja home of the leader of the Niger-Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF), Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari.

Security operatives on Thursday raided the Abuja home of the leader of the Niger-Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF), Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari.
The security agents, numbering over 200, and reportedly comprising the military, police and the State Security Service (SSS) stormed the building located in the Wuse Area of the Federal Capital city.
Dokubo-Asari was not at home when the raid was carried out and expatriates said to be in the house at the time were allegedly taken hostage.

Confirming the raid, Dokubo-Asari said no notice or reason was given for the action.
The NDPVF leader said, 'they never informed me on why they came to my house. Dokubo-Asari, however, said he was not surprised about the raid.
His words: 'Maybe it was planned. I expected it. I have always expected it. I take it as part of the struggle in wh ich I am involved.
