Former governor of Lagos State, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the incumbent, Mr Babatunde Fashola (SAN), will be wooed to join Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State so that the party could win the state in 2011.

National Vice Chairman of PDP, South-West, Alhaji Tajudeen Oladipo, dropped the hint, while briefing newsmen in Ibadan on the efforts to broker peace among the aggrieved members of the party in Lagos.
He stated that the party would not mind to use Governor Fashola of the Action Congress (AC) as the gubernatorial candidate for PDP to capture Lagos State in 2011, adding that Senator Tinubu would also be talked to on the need to join the mainstream politics in the country.
'We have not deviated from what we regard as our mission. We want to retain the five states being controlled by PDP in the South-West which are Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ondo and Ekiti and win Lagos State in addition in 2011.
'If it is Fashola that PDP will use to win Lagos State in 2011, we will woo him. Even we will woo his predecessor, Senator Tinubu to join our party. We will let them know that they need to come to the mainstream and shun opposition. PDP is ready to accommodate them and we will offer them whatever they want because we want to win Lagos in 2011," Oladipo said.
Oladipo disclosed that the reconciliation committee, headed by Chief Tunde Osunrinde to reconcile the aggrieved members of Lagos State PDP had submitted its interim report and it revealed that PDP was on the right track to fully reconcile 'and if the report given to us is anything to go by, then winning Lagos State will not pose any problem in the nearest future."
While saying that the final reports of the committee would soon come out, the national vice chairman stated that the decision whether Lagos PDP would participate in the forthcoming local government election in the state was yet to be taken.
Oladipo rejected the recent judgment of the election petition tribunal in Ondo State, which nullified the election of Governor Olusegun Agagu. He expressed optimism that the Court of Appeal would overturn the decision of the lower tribunal.
