AC Chieftain's Leadership Potential Questioned

Some concerned members of the Action Congress (AC) in Lagos State, have raised a question mark on the leadership potential of Alhaji Bode Abdullahi, an erstwhile chieftain of All Nigeria People's Party (ANPP) in the state.

Some concerned members of the Action Congress (AC) in Lagos State, have raised a question mark on the leadership potential of Alhaji Bode Abdullahi, an erstwhile chieftain of All Nigeria People's Party (ANPP) in the state.

The AC members alleged that Abdullahi, a supposed national leader of AC, was interfering in the affairs of the party at ward, local government and state levels.

They further alleged that the politician, who was considered as dead wood in ANPP, and could not win any election on the party's platform before decamping to AC, was using his closeness to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the former governor of the state, and his successor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, to deceive certain chairmanship and councillorship aspirants that he could impose them on other contestants in the forthcoming council polls.

According to them, 'leadership goes with integrity, dignity and credibility. Where these vital ingredients are in doubt, the leadership qualities of such a person is questionable. The same is applicable to Alhaji Bode Abdullahi, who is supposed to be a national leader, but still interferes in the affairs of the party in the state level."

They therefore advised the leadership of the party to be careful in their relationship with Abdullahi in order not to create credibility problems for the party in the 11 October local government polls.
