A middle-aged lady who said she has known no sleep for over nine years due to an alleged running encounter with the Head of the Brotherhood of Cross and Star, Olumba Olumba Obu (000), wants churches to come to her rescue.
Specifically, Miss Victory Agamu, a former member of the sect, would want churches to go into a spiritual warfare on her behalf to regain her natural right to a sound sleep and show forth the supremacy of the Almighty God.

Speaking in an interview with Daily Sun, Miss Agamu who had to abandon a lucrative insurance job in Italy in search of solution to her problem alleged that she has been under Olumba's torment in dreams for the past 23 years.

"He keeps tormenting me, comes in the spirit, breathing into my nose, robbing me of my sleep for nine years and urging me to take a knife and kill myself. He says no prayer or deliverance would save me. In the dreams, he says that he is god and boasts that no one can save me.
"I am a sad person. I am facing torment of sleeplessness, torment of money, torment of lack of friends and torment of lack of husband.

"I arrived in Italy in 1998 and I started working with Star Services International Insurance Company in Italy in 1999. It is a very big company with offices in Germany , Paris and Spain .
"They had promised me that if I get to position B10, I could bring the company to Nigeria. But Olumba told me in the dream that he is god and that his problem is my progress".
Miss Agamu's nagging headache is that despite her visits to several local and international churches, her plight has not ebbed.

"My worry is that many men of God and churches have prayed for me without positive result. I have even sowed seed with men of God after denouncing him, for God to uplift my insurance company but Olumba keeps appearing to me in the dreams, tormenting me."

Consequently, she would want, "all true men of God" within and outside the country to see her predicament as a challenge and wage a spiritual war to save her.

Miss Agamu said that her desire to return to Italy to start life afresh has been frustrated due to the refusal of the relevant Italian authorities to renew her Foreigners Permit of Stay that expired in 2002.
"It is painful that whereas girls who were smuggled into Italy are still there practicing their illicit trade, I have not been allowed to renew my papers. I entered Italy with a Visa and ever since I came home to seek spiritual solution to my problem, my efforts to renew it have been frustrated.
"I was not deported from Italy. I came to Nigeria with my ticket but my effort to get a re-entry visa has remained frustrated. I have to go back because I have a future in Italy.

"I was not thrown out of Italy; I was not deported. So, why can't they allow me go back?
Insisting that the huddles and rejection she has suffered are spiritually induced, Miss Agamu appealed to Nigerians to, "pray for me that my re-entry visa be renewed."
