Lawal made the appeal yesterday at the commissioning of the new private ward built by the federal government and the management of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). He said most primary health care institutions in the country are in dilapidated conditions.

The minister commended LUTH, describing it as a unique health institution that thrives despite catering to large populations, saying its concentration of highly specialised manpower enabled it to respond to a variety of health conditions.
