The late musician was brought to the venue in a white casket with gold trimmings and was laid at the centre of the court while the officiating priest, George Amu extolled the virtues of the late musician and called on those present to do good always.
Present at the basketball court at the time of filing this report were Kanayo O. Kanayo, Tee Mac, Onyeka Onwenu, Orits Wiliki, Muma Gee and others.
Meanwhile, one of Okosuns' friends has disclosed that the late musician confided in him that he will die soon.
Prince Vincon Uwakwa Uwandi stated this during a television programme Linktrip 65 on Gotel this morning.
Uwandi, who is also Ikemba Ishi Ogwa, Imo State, said that two days to Okosuns' death, he called him to come for some discussion before he passes on, but due to an urgent meeting he had with the Imo State Governor, Ikeddy Ohakim, he could not see him (Okosuns) before his death.
Uwandi described Okosuns as a freedom fighter, adding that in celebrating Okosuns, all communities in Imo State organised an elaborate ceremony in his honour some days ago.
