The anniversary of Higher Ground Holy Mary Ministry International has commenced with a special Holy Mary Vigil in the church auditorium at Jakande Estate, Ipaja, Lagos.
The anniversary of Higher Ground Holy Mary Ministry International has commenced with a special Holy Mary Vigil in the church auditorium at Jakande Estate, Ipaja, Lagos.
The anniversary with the theme: Year of the Anointed will witness pastors from different churches ministering at the week-long event.
Activities slated for the anniversary include visiting the motherless babies home, lectures and special anointing service including an open crusade carnival. The grand finale holds Sunday, 20 July, with a thanksgiving service and a feast at the church auditorium.
According to the General Overseer , Prophet (Dr.) Ayo Oyaronbi, 'this year's anniversary is a special one dedicated to the Almighty God for His kindness and protection over every member of this ministry. He explained that the level of constant love and success the church had recorded in the last four years has been through divine intervention from God.
'We started from a very small place but with the grace of God, the church has moved to a bigger place and it's overflowing. I'm sure, very soon, we will proceed to a better auditorium because we are already planning for that," he said.
Speaking on the theme of this year's anniversary: 'Year of the Anointing," the clergyman said it is a call to the Almighty God to give Him and the ministry more grace and strength to serve him better.
His ministry, he said, is dedicated to winning souls for Christ and to help the less-privileged achieve greatness. He noted that the level of hardship in the country today can only be tackled and reduced with prayers and giving more concern to the needy, which has always been a thing of joy for him.
He revealed that God had blessed him so much and he's willing to extend the blessing to others, especially the less-privileged and orphans, adding that it is the only way of appreciating what God has done for him.
