Anguish and despair have overwhelmed the once united and happy inhabitants of Umuolihe village near Omoba, headquarters of Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State, where an extended family (name withheld) lost 30 members to a mystery fire during a prayer and deliverance session, organised by the family on Monday night.

Daily Sun gathered that elders of the family had, in a bid to avert series of spiritual problems allegedly impeding the success of their members, organized a prayer and deliverance session. Fate, however, played a smart game on those who assembled for the prayer, as most of them were consumed by a mystery fire.
Trouble crept in after the prayers as the family members began deliverance session, which involved exhuming charms allegedly buried in their compound by some detractors and malefactors. It was gathered that as the members started the operation, exhuming charms and other mysterious objects, the mystery fire suddenly erupted and burnt the entire family.
Daily Sun gathered that prominent members of the family consumed by the mystery fire include the entire family of the proprietor of an hospital located along Aba/Port Harcourt Expressway near Ariaria International Market, Aba.
It was gathered that all members of the family had travelled home to Umuolihe for the prayers.
Sources close to the family said an unidentified priest was invited to conduct the prayer and deliverance session.
