Kanu Heart Foundation (KHF) in collaboration with Elyshuims Entertainment has unveiled The Miss KHF Pageant with the theme: So Beautiful Yet Compassionate, in Lagos, in a bid to raise funds for people suffering from heart ailments in Nigeria.

Co-ordinator, Kanu Heart Foundation, Mr Onyebuchi Abia said the pageant is a project designed to find the ideal female personality who will represent, promote and communicate the objectives of the Kanu Heart Foundation.
'The successful Miss KHF will by November serve as a goodwill ambassador for the foundation with her personifying intelligence, compassion and a positive disposition.
'The forms for contest can be purchased off-line and on-line and there would be zonal auditioning in London, Lagos, Benin, Owerri and Abuja, which will be handled by a team of professionals. Participation is open to Nigerian females between 18-25 years and the crowned ambassador will be entitled to an annual salary of N1.2 million and an official car. Her one-year reign will see her representing the foundation in different events all over the world," he said.
Shedding more light on the project, Christopher Ogbonna Kanu, the CEO of Elyshuims Entertainment stated that the aim of the project is to build a Cardiac Heart Specialist Hospital in Nigeria.
'We have carried out operations on 300 children with an open heart surgery and one way that we can assist and help numerous kids with heart diseases is to raise KHF through various projects."
The president of the foundation, Kanu Nkwankwo also used the occasion to appeal to well spirited Nigerians, corporate organizations to donate money to the foundation in order to save the life of young Mesong Anyaoku from Bida, who has four weeks to live on earth if an urgent operation is not done on the girl.
