Lt.Col. Aduwo's Burial Begins Tomorrow


The commendation service for the late Lt. Col. (Chief) Mrs. Bekinwari Aduwo, wife of Admiral Akin Aduwo, former Military Governor of Western State and Chief of Naval Staff, aged 70, will hold tomorrow, Friday 11 July, at The Methodist Church, Salvation Road, Opebi, Ikeja.

The commendation service for the late Lt. Col. (Chief) Mrs. Bekinwari Aduwo, wife of Admiral Akin Aduwo, former Military Governor of Western State and Chief of Naval Staff, aged 70, will hold tomorrow, Friday 11 July, at The Methodist Church, Salvation Road, Opebi, Ikeja.

Her remains will departs for Port Harcourt by air same day, while interment will take place at Harry's Town, Obuama, Rivers State, on Saturday, 12 July, after a funeral service at St. John's African Church.

Important members of the society like the Governors of Lagos, Ondo and Osun States are expected to attend. Others are the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuade; Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi; the Alaye of Ode Aye and many other traditional rulers.

The military top brass, retired and still serving, such as Admirals Aikhomu, Akhigbe, Afolayan; Generals Adeyinka Adebayo, Alani Akinrinade; former Inspectors General of Police, Sunday Adewusi, Sunday Ehindero, and the Service Chiefs of the Army, Navy and Airforce, will also be in attendance at the commendation service to bid farewell to their late colleague.
