A middle-aged woman is now helping the police at Ejigbo in their investigation over the sudden death of her lover in a hotel room, during sexual intercourse.

A reliable source gave the name of the woman as Mrs. Adebimpe Omogbehin, residing at Block 35, Flat 3, Phase 2, Adeniji-Adele Housing Estate, Lagos Island.

The deceased, identified as Mr. Lanre Akingbohungbe, a senior staff of NNPC, Ejigbo depot, and a resident of Bariga was said to have secretly picked the woman from St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Oke Popo area of Lagos Island, where both of them worship, to Ejigbo Central guest house, located at Ojoola Street, behind Ejigbo Bus Stop, to have sex at about 9.30p.m last Friday.

After a round of sex, according to a source, the woman reportedly ran out of the hotel room and raised an alarm, calling for a doctor.

Instead of her to explain her plight to workers in the hotel she was said to have run out of the hotel room toward the bus stop to the surprise of residents around the street. Workers at the hotel who saw her were said to have pursued her and caught up with her at the bus stop. When she was asked what happened, she reportedly muttered; 'I don't know what is wrong with my lover inside the room". They followed her to the room, where they saw that the hefty man, who was hale and hearty before checking into the room, was stiff-dead with white foam around his mouth.

When probed further on what actually happened, the woman narrated that: 'After a round of sex, my lover suddenly became lifeless on top of me, and after calling him several times and shaking his body without response, I became frightened and ran outside raising alarm."

The woman is currently being detained at the Ejigbo police station while the corpse of the deceased was removed from the hotel room by members of St. Andrew's Catholic Church on Oke Popo, Lagos Island, at about 10a.m on Saturday morning.

The church members came to the hotel to pick the corpse with an ambulance bearing Omega Funeral Service and, a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number FU 571 KJA.
