Ojodu Berger garage in Lagos was this morning thrown into mourning, while business activities were brought to a halt following the death of the branch chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Mr. Ganiyu Ayinla.
A source told P.M.News this morning that 'the 32-year-old chairman was hale and hearty as at 7 p.m. yesterday before he departed for his house. 'We were shocked beyond words when we heard that he had passed on last night." According to the chairman, Sango branch, Mr. Saka Ganiyu, 'he was my name sake and he was such a cool headed man. He died in a mysterious way." The late Ganiyu Ayinla is survived by two wives, Mrs. Banjo Ayinla and another whose identity was not ascertained as at the time of filing this report. Ayinla is survived by three children, Zainab, Lukman and Uche. He will be buried today in his family compound at Awori-Isheri according to Muslim rites.
