A 24-year-old lady, Kanyinsola Aladesanmi, who was nabbed for allegedly duping four people of N679,800 on the pretence of supplying them bags of rice, is now facing trial at the Yaba Magistrate's Court.
A 24-year-old lady, Kanyinsola Aladesanmi, who was nabbed for allegedly duping four people of N679,800 on the pretence of supplying them bags of rice, is now facing trial at the Yaba Magistrate's Court.
The suspect was alleged to have, on 19 May, 2008 at Gowon Estate, Ipaja, obtained N410,000 from Koiki Olasemi under the pretence of supplying him 100 bags of rice and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 419 of the Criminal Code, Cap.C.17, Vol. 17(2), Laws of Lagos State.
In the five-count charge read against her, Kanyinsola was alleged to have at various places in the Ikeja magisterial district stole the money by converting N679,800 for his personal use. The money belonged to Koiki Oluseni, Samuel Adefowope, Harold Omodero and Oladunni Olusola.
She was granted bail and trial adjourned till further notice.
