Details of the burial arrangement are still sketchy. But a source from the deceased's family told Daily Sun that the family met on Thursday and agreed on the date.
A high-powered committee comprising notable names in the nation's entertainment industry, it was gathered, has been set up to organize a befitting burial.
Okosuns died of colon cancer at the Howard University Hospital, Washington D.C, in the United States. Months before his death, the superstar who became a hero with his freedom songs during the anti-apartheid struggle, had been criss-crossing the world seeking medical help for his terminal ailment. In an interview with Daily Sun a few weeks to his demise, Okosuns had lamented that most of his friends abandoned him to his fate at the moment he needed them the most.
