Former Minister of Petroleum, Prof Tam David-West, has charged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the police to arrest former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, if his daughter, Senator Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello, continues to remain at large.

He averred that such measure had been taken against others in the past.
In a telephone interview with Sunday Sun, the no-nonsense professor also berated the Senate for not punishing the Ogun senator, as the law making body is mutually exclusive of the court.
His words: ‘The Senate is being responsible for disowning her but (it) can still discipline her. If a child steals, the parent can disown her but that does not stop the law from taking its full course.
"This girl (Iyabo) is a senator and before (David) Mark, she had been groomed for the post of Senate president. Now she has disgraced herself, her family and the nation.
The Senate has its rules of discipline, which is not mutually exclusive of the law. (It) can still discipline her and let the law also takes it course. "Senate is just being hypocritical, toothless and spineless." He also described the former president as a hypocrite. "Obasanjo is the greatest hypocrite ever created by God. It is a case of like father like daughter. Any family with respect and dignity would have being the first to disown Iyabo. But because he is also undisciplined he cannot do anything. Obasanjo should be ashamed that his first daughter disgraced him in public," he further stated.
The professor of virology, who served under the military administration of both General Muhammadu Buhari and Ibrahim Babaginda, contended that the law enforcement agents should arrest Obasanjo for two reasons.
"The system is hypocritical, because the system that says there is no sacred cow now has scared cow. This country was ruined by Obasanjo. All his moral standards have been derogated.
"Obasanjo should not only be arrested for Iyabo. He should also be arrested for himself. He has done that to other people before. They (EFCC and police) should arrest him for Iyabo…Obasanjo is long overdue to be arrested. He is the greatest disgrace this country ever had," David-West fumed.
