In the last six years, Meekness Nwachukwu has been in pains over a boil she developed when she was three years old.
Little Nwachukwu, the fifth child in a family of six, was born normal, but when he was three , she developed a little boil on her right thigh.

Her father, Mr Theophilous Nwachukwu and his wife, Florence, saw the boil as a normal one that would come and go as she was growing up.
They took all measures for their daughter to get healed but to no avail.

They have, therefore, watched helpless as their daughter is growing up with the boil that has now placed her on danger list.
Her right thigh has been so damaged by the mystery boil to the extent of blocking her genital organ.

Worst still is that Theophilous, the father, died after spending fortune on the daughter he loved so dearly.
Yet, death is still knocking at the door of the Nwachukwus and if urgent help does not come the way of Meekness as she may have to join her ancestors prematurely.
In a chat with Daily Sun in Aba, the widow of the ailing child, Florence, appealed to public-spirited individuals and corporate bodies not to allow Meekness to die.
According to her, Meekness has been taken to many healing centres, when the boil developed newly but to no avail.

'Unfortunately nothing was diagnosed since no fluid could be collected from the boil. Many years after the boil took dangerous position, threatening to kill her and I took her to the University Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu where a medical verdict was given that she will have to undergo surgery to live. UNTH Enugu requested N500,000 to perform the surgery. The strange boil has already damaged her right leg," Mrs Nwachukwu lamented.

Mrs Nwachukwu, a junior staff with Ukwa East Local Government Council of Abia State can hardly afford to train and feed her children, not totalk more of paying the medical bill of her ailing daughter.
She is, therefore, crying out for help, so that her child can live.
Already, the ailment has stopped her schooling as her discomfort increases everyday.
She is one of the orphans and vulnerable children passing through hell because of a curable illness which poverty has not allowed to be tackled.

According to her mother, every effort to get money for her surgery seems to have eluded her.
Meekness who hails from Mbaise in Imo State was born nine years ago, but lives with her parents in Ovum, Aba in Abia State.
