The retired Major turned politician made this disclosure at a world press conference in Lagos at the weekend where she emphatically stated that the scandals and probes trailing the family of the former president had nothing to do with her, asserting, 'I belong to the holy, spiritual and modest family of the late Justice, Mofolorunsho Adekunle.
'I have my reason when I include Adekunle in my name. It is to differentiate me from Obasanjo's family. I am just one of his many wives and not a member of his family."
Speaking on the state of the nation, the woman politician warned that Nigeria was moving towards unavoidable revolution that would sweep bad leadership away in the country, adding, however, that the impending revolution was going to be bloody and all encompassing - if not curtailed.
Her words: 'PDP is trying to drag the masses of this country into a bloody revolution which we are not ready to be dragged into.
'We are interested only in the scientific, computerized and spiritual revolution of our great country, which has been set in motion since October 1, 1999 under the leadership of the God ordained Masses Movement of Nigeria.
'We are all in the battlefield now and the battle line has been drawn between the PDP, the masses and the 46 political parties that have adopted me as their national chairman and presidential candidate in 2007 election."
While commenting on the reported issue of rice importation by the Federal Government, Mojisola Obasanjo expressed sadness that 'while our own farmers are dying without getting assistance from their government, President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua single-handedly approved the sum of N80 billion for the importation of rice from his sick bed in far away Germany," noting that anything could happen under an illegal government like that of Yar'Adua which, she said, the masses never voted for.
According to her, such perceived good gesture from the government was always a designed avenue to siphon Nigeria's money abroad saying 'nemesis will catch up with them as it is already catching up with ourself-styled leaders in the past dispensation."
The woman politician also lashed at the National Assembly for its failure to pass the Freedom of Information Bill saying, 'they are only representing their own selfish interest aimed at continuous looting of the nation's treasury."
