Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Tony Odidi, has been reportedly killed in Agenebode in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State by unidentified killers. Odidi, who was said to be serving in Kaduna State was reportedly killed where he was spending the night at home at about 12a.m yesterday by suspected hired assassins.

Odidi, who was said to be serving in Kaduna State was reportedly killed where he was spending the night at home at about 12a.m yesterday by suspected hired assassins.
Confirming the incident, the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), in charge of Zone 5, Udom Ekpoudom, said they were aware and already investigating.
"We are already aware of the dastardly act and we have commenced investigation into the matter, I want to assure you that the killers will be brought to book."
The senior police officer was said to be running a programme at the Nigeria Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos but went home to visit his family when he was killed.
A resident of the village said a prominent son of the community working with a first generation bank was also assassinated early last year.
He said the police, when contacted, said they were already investigating the issue.
The younger brother of the deceased, Tony Ane, said: "We are still trying to unravel the mystery behind the killing of our brother, the local police are also trying to do that.
"He came to the village for a family visit, his family are resident in Benin and he is a career police officer not a politician, he died in active service."
Chairman of the local government and chief security officer of the council, Chief Stanley Odidi, when contacted, could not offer any clue as to the motive behind the killing as he was obviously dejected and could not utter a word.
