The family of the chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Associated Bus Company (ABC) plc, Mr. Frank Nneji was at the weekend thrown into confusion when his wife, Ngozi was reportedly kidnapped at Owerri and was taken to an unknown destination .

Daily Sun gathered that Mrs. Nneji who is the Managing Director of Mayfair and Suite, was picked by unknown persons after the church service in the morning at the Maria Assumpta Cathedral Church along Port Harcourt Road while driving home.

Efforts by Daily Sun to reach the transport magnate to comment on his wife's travails failed as he refused to answer several telephone calls placed on his mobile phone. When Daily Sun visited the headquarters of the ABC Transport Plc, workers kept sealed lips as they were not ready to volunteer any information.

The state police command could not also help the matter as the police authorities were very evasive on the matter. The PPRO, Mr. Linus Nwaiwu told Daily Sun in his office on Monday that the command has not been officially communicated on the incident.

According to him, police are ready to rescue the victim and track down the suspects if the incident was informed . ' We are not aware officially and we have not received any official report to that effect. If such a report gets to us, we will rise to the occasion and when it comes to the issue of kidnapping , the affected family does not like to involve the police."

In another development, a businessman , Mr. Uwadi Obikea was shot on Sunday night along Mbaise Road, Owerri by unknown gunmen. Uwadi, a native of Oguta, was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri, where he is now receiving treatment as his elder brother, Chief Ken Obikea confirmed that his condition was stable .
