I don't care if Nigeria becomes one party state - Ogbulafor

National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, has advocated a one party state, just as he said the party will run for the next 60 years.

National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, has advocated a one party state, just as he said the party will run for the next 60 years.

'I don't care if Nigeria becomes a one party state, if that will be the way out," Ogbulafor said on Wednesday night when he hosted media executives to a dinner.

The PDP chairman did not, however, say which modalities he will use to achieve this, but the PDP controlled government is currently running a government of national unity, which involves other political parties.

Ogbulafor also disclosed that the PDP will ensure that the goals set by the founding fathers of the party will be achieved during his tenure while reiterating his preparedness to go the extra-mile in ensuring that all estranged founding fathers return to the fold.

In furtherance of his resolve to ensure that the PDP government delivers the dividends of democracy to Nigerians, Ogbulafor stated that the leadership of the party will constitute a team to monitor the fiscal performance of all the states controlled by the party.
'PDP will set up a monitoring team to monitor allocation of resources in all our states in the interest of children yet unborn," he said.

'We expect challenges from the opposition but we will not say because we don't want to make mistakes we will not act at all. Our interest is the improvement of lives of Nigerians and strengthening internal democracy," Ogbulafor added.

He re-affirmed the determination of the party leadership to reconcile all the factions he met when he took over as national chairman of the party, saying, 'the party is paying particular attention to ensure there is peace.
'What Nigeria needs is peace and love, and I urge you all to join hands together for us to achieve this."
